Interns ARE Our Business!

After a few years of research, in 2019 we partnered with the OSU-Cascades Innovation Co-Lab to refine our program and provide students, graduates, and community members with a variety of paid and unpaid work experience internships. Since then, we have produced or participated in over 200 events, and have measured well over 2,500 hrs of intern time.

The primary beneficiary for Connect Central Oregon is the intern.

The term “primary beneficiary” is arguably the single most important term that governs the activities of Connect Central Oregon. It’s vital that our team, including partners, and clients understand how we define and use it in every interaction.

Our Team

Supports a Variety of Events

Supporting online, hybrid and
in-person events.

Our Partners

These partners provide opportunities for our interns and services which support our programs.

Current Programs

Connect Central Oregon supports a variety of programs connecting and engaging with our community. ConnectCO provides meaningful impact and development of our community using a ‘Service-Learning’ approach.

BroadcasTeen Network

Inspiring students in live event broadcasting and production through hands-on participation.

High Desert Robotics Expositions

Inspiring the Central Oregon community through engaging experiences in robotics to develop the next-generation leaders.

Ignite Bend & Ignite Central Oregon

Ignite’s mission is “Everyone Speaks”. We believe that public speaking builds confidence in individuals and that events like Ignite build community. Our goal is to make it possible for anyone, anywhere, to learn to present their
ideas and their stories.

Central Oregon Social Engagement Public Affairs Network

Providing coverage of community and public affairs activities throughout Central Oregon.

Intern Stories

For over 3 years, our interns have had the opportunity to participate in this program, receiving school credit while learning new skills. We are excited the program continues its expansion and awareness. “Student” is relative, and though the average age of our interns is young-adult, we have many graduates and mid-career adults participating and leading projects.
