Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'

MLK Day of Service Opportunities Across Central Oregon: Monday, January 16th, 2023

MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

On Monday, Jan. 16, and the days surrounding, Connect Central Oregon, United Way of Central Oregon, OSU Cascades, Central Oregon Community College, and Americorps invite you to:

  • Engage with others to create community;
  • Act on Dr. King’s legacy of social justice and equity;
  • Recommit by volunteering to serve others.

Together, we can strengthen ties to our communities and one other while we address critical issues that divide us.

Individuals, families, and teams in Deschutes, Jefferson, Crook County, and Warm Springs are encouraged to visit the Connect Central Oregon Service Opportunities site to browse and sign up to volunteer for one of 25 service projects on MLK Day:
